The subject of a sentence is the person, place, thing or idea that is doing something or being something. If you find the verb, you can find the subje

A phrase is group of words beginning with preposition and ending with noun or pronoun.

The predicate modifies the subject of the sentence and has at least a verb that tells the action of the sentence's purpose.
