Citizens have the right to call attention to problems that they find around them. At the same time, it is their duty as citizens in a democracy to take part in finding solutions to these problems. Public and social problems affect many people. Attempts to solve the problems, however, can sometimes raise issues about which people may disagree. The key to finding and carrying out solutions to the public problems that face us lies in government, community, and individuals working together.
