These range from posters and bumper stickers to expensive television commercials. In addition to the candidates themselves, interest groups try to influence voters by coordinating election activities supporting the candidates who agree with their views. To vote wisely, however, it is important for voters to be able to discern the facts about candidates and critical issues through layers of published propaganda and biased commentary.
