Period III Retrospective and the World on the Eve of Columbus
This is a review of Period III of World History (600-1450CE) as well as a look ahead to Period IV of World History (1450-1750CE). It sets the stage for the significant changes that took place in the Age of Exploration and European expansion into the world network. This lesson shows a map of the world during this era when not most areas were not dominated by a major political unit. This lesson explains the state of the world before Columbus sailed the Ocean Blue in 1492.
